Miss Janice Lynn
Brougher-Roos
Her training in dance
began at age 3 and she continues to set a precedent of learning and growing by
attending advanced training classes and seminars. Some of these include
summer dance training with Dance Olympus, the Professional Dance Teachers
Association, and Robert Christopher's seminars.
She
is a certified instructor and former member of Dance Educators of America and
former instructor at Harrisburg Area Community College.
She has
taken master level classes with instructors from coast to coast including Frank
Hatchett, Luigi, Gus Giordano, Henry LeTang and many more.
Master level classes are also offered at the studio.
Other
noteworthy achievements include directing and producing a patriotic salute
during the 120th annual convention of the PA Banking Association, choreographing musicals for Mechanicsburg
Area Senior High School, East Pennsboro High School, and St. John's Lutheran Church.
The musicals included Anything Goes, How to Succeed in Business, The
Wizard of Oz, Hello Dolly, and The King and I.
She has designed and conducted new dance programs for
West Shore Recreation and Leisure Services, instructed for Mechanicsburg Parks
and Recreation and danced in a promotional video for the Community Bankers of
PA. She is currently instructing for Mechanicsburg's Recreational
Association's LEAP program at East Pennsboro. She recently conducted a
session titled Jive 'n Jazz for Pinnacle Health Systems' Women's Weekend
Away.
In May of 1999, Miss Janice
escorted twenty-nine of her dancers to Disney World where they were invited to
perform on the Tommorowland Stage.
Miss Janice is a graduate of the Pennsylvania
State University with a BA in communications and lives locally with her
husband, Paul, cat, Chassé, and dog, Oreo.
