Miss Catherine Kaslusky
Miss Catherine Hodges Kaslusky teaches ballet
to a variety of ages at Studio '91. She is a 2001 graduate
of Penn State University, University Park, with a major
in Music Education. While at Penn State she participated
in the Marching Blue Band, Sigma Alpha Iota, numerous bands
and ensembles, as well as honor societies, and was an active
participator, dancer, and chair in Penn State's IFC/PanHellenic
Dance Marathon.
Miss Catherine's dance training began at age three and she has been dancing ever
since. Prior to attending Studio '91, she was a charter member of the Cumberland
Dance Company. She has participated in many intense summer programs including,
Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Princeton Ballet, Allegheny Ballet, Shenandoah
Dance Conservatory, and the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts. She
has also studied with Cherie Noble, David Howard, Robert Steele, Patricia
Sorrelle, Elizabeth Bergmann, and many others. She joined Studio `91 in 1994
as a student, and is delighted to be back to teach various levels of ballet.
Miss Catherine has enjoyed attending the Dance Teacher Summer Conference in 2005
and 2006, as well as Dance Olympus to further educate and inspire her ballet
teaching.
Currently, Miss Catherine is teaching at the Middletown School District as the
Instrumental Music teacher and Director of Bands at the elementary level and
holds a Level Two Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate. She also greatly enjoys
her "spring activity" as Choreographer of Mechanicsburg High School's Wildcat
Productions, having choreographed their shows since 2002 including "42nd Street". In
her free time, Miss Catherine enjoys reading, outdoor fun, Broadway Musicals,
and rooting for her Penn State Nittany Lions!
